I love free software. Not pirated, the idea of pirated makes me nervous. Besides if someone wants you to pay for their creation. It is their right and you should pay. But open source (os) and freeware are wonderful ideas. I love free stuff that you can actually use and adds value to whatever you do. I have tried several if not all of the free desktop blogging apps. While several of them are good, in my opinion none of them compare to Microsoft’s Live Writer. This thing is awesome, and with the possibility of its plugins and future development it just looks better.

Right. Ok, so there are soooo many blogs. And many blogs that have 8 posts over 3 years. Most of it is useless, "hi, welcome to my new blog," and then a single post 9 months later, "sorry I haven’t written in this." With much of what is written about blogging and what it takes to get noticed and read by a large audience there is little about how to do it quickly. Everything out there is all about how much work goes into building up a readership. Tagging, blog indexing, bookmarking sites, seo, topic selection, word count, etc., it seems like each new approach is a part-time job unto itself. I am much more interested in the idea of blogging and building my own brand than anything else. It is syndication without having to make any deals. The web is an amazing tool that allows you to be who you want and build a brand. The problem is that with everything else you have to do to get readers, it almost makes the true creative work of blogging and creating image the easy task.

Poor Nadia. Has anyone taken a moment to realize that this woman has 14 children. Doesn’t she have enough to do without being hounded by the media. I know that most readers will answer what I write with "she is hounding the media not the other way around." First, I don’t believe that for a second. I do believe that she was or is trying to make some money from her situation. I also believe that she was and may still be trying to clear up misconceptions or questions about her situation. I don’t necessarily think that either approach is one that I would take. At the same time I haven’t seen compelling evidence that either approach has caused her or her children any harm. Either way this is a single mother with plenty on her plate and the media is misbehaving with this whole thing.

We are hosting a monthly photo contest beginning April 1, 2009! The first contest will be themed “New Beginnings.” Sort of a way of christening this brand new blog. Obviously this can be from any sort of category or subject. Use your imagination but spring should be around the corner and there should be manys subjects. Babies, new businesss, whatever, it should prove interesting and fun. However we will reject all pornographic material. Since this is a new blog and an even newer feature we are still working out the bugs on the submission and prizes. More information on this in the next few days.<br>

Those who know me, know that I have kicked around different projects on the net for years. I have never made much money on the net, nor have I spent that much time truly creating anything. Really I have just sorted of kicked around different ideas. But since this last Christmas I have actually begun to work on many of the projects that have been residing in my brain for years. Not all of them are intended to make money. For example my most recent project is i-confess.net is a confession portal. At the moment it just has the confession portion set up. It will have a forum and blog/article area. Overall, the goal of this site is not to make money but rather provide opportunities for people to deal with the things that may be causing them problems.

Who doesn’t want to be Jon Favreau right now? I don’t care if you didn’t vote for Obama or if you couldn’t vote because there was no one to vote for. 27 years old, presidential inaugural address speech writer, campaign of the century speech writer, the kid is on fire. You don’t have to like democrats to like this kid. Continue Reading…

There is in every relationship that lasts a sort of glue. It is comprised of the things that each likes about, needs from, or otherwise desires of the other. This is no scientific breakthrough but it is no less true. One of the most interesting relationship models is the family unit. It might have many members and have many facets or have only a few members. It usually has great potential. It is stronger than most other relationships by its nature. Probably because of babies. There has been much written about President Elect Barak Obama in the last two years. He is the first African American man elected to the highest office in the United States of America. There is no doubt that the 2008 U.S. Presidential election is a milestone. Most will see it as a milestone for African Americans in this country. Many may view it as a milestone for all American minorities. While I agree that it is a milestone, I don’t see it as one for any class or type of person. It is a milestone for this country and all of its electorate.

Windows Vista has been out for several months now with widely varied reactions from the general public. If you search for the known bugs on google you get more than 1.8 million hits. Ofcourse a lot of that isn’t pertinent information but it is an awful lot of gripe and bad marketing. Then there are the Mac commercials that poke fun Continue Reading…
